Vinyes Velles Priorat Garnacha Carignan

I perfekt drickfas. Fullpumpad med mörka bär, färska örter, peppar, mynta, järn och krossade blyertspennor. Tydliga, men sammetslena tanniner, massa syra och lååång eftersmak.

I know this one from Japanese manga Drops of God, finally got a chance to try it. 70% Carignan, 30% Grenache from old vines. Amazingly dark ruby color. Rich and concentrated on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, plum, mint, black pepper, very earthy nose. Full bodied, medium acidity, I have to say this is some darn concentrated and focused juice. Very fruit driven, like an explosion of fruits, dried fruits also show up. There's subtle heat and sweetness on the finish but doesn't conceal the fact this is a great wine. Wow just Wow 😄 15% alc. 2011 vintage

Ripe red and black fruits. Slight black pepper and dried herbs. Screaming minerals. Rock, graphite and pencil shaving. Diminished acid and slight sweet on the palate. Long finish. One of my favorites. Great value at $24.99.

Much too young but shows dense structure, balance and long finish with ripe tannin, full body and high complexity it will improve by ageing

Mielenkiintoinen ilta jatkuu. Vuorossa Ferrerin vuosikerta 2011. Tuoksu maanläheinen, lievästi tamminen, yrttinen jopa juureksikas, mukana myös lakritsinjuurta. Mausta löydän shipsien makua, grillimaustettua taffelia eli joku voisi väittää että maussa poltettua paprikaa. En väitä vastaan. Hieman hedelmäinen ja selkeästi mehukkaampi kuin vuotta vanhempi vastaava viini.
