Always as much pleasure, with Foillard wines. 2016 is perfectly to my taste. Between the juicy crunch of youth, and the more aerial floral character that the Morgons develop as they age. A juice that pinote with truffled and undergrowth notes. Delight of finesse.

One of the beautiful value for money that we like to rediscover. A fairly straight syrah, "natural", the fruit is honoured with the typical notes of the grape variety in a over-vitamin version, Morocco's sun obliges. A slight woody note testifies to the beautiful mastery of winemaking and brings a distinguished touch to the whole. As often with this type of wine, you have to wait 3/5 years of ageing for the alcoholic ardour to act. 2017 just finds its equilbre, and could still win with 2 years of cellar

Un des beaux rapport/prix plaisir qu’on aime redécouvrir. Une syrah assez droite et « nature » le fruit est à l’honneur avec les notes typique du cépage dans une version sur-vitaminée, soleil du Maroc oblige. Une légère note boisée témoigne de la belle maîtrise de vinification et apporte une touche distingué à l’ensemble. Comme souvent avec ce type de vin, il faut attendre 3/5 ans de garde pour que l’ardeur alcooleuse s’assagisse. 2017 trouve juste son equilbre, et pourrait encore gagner avec 2 ans de cave — 5 years ago

Always so much fun with this pretty wine south of the Rhône-Nord. Syrah is expressed on red and black fruits with beautiful peppery notes, smoked bacon. Coated character. Contained power. Fine texture in the mouth. The acidity suggests that it is to be drunk now.

Light garnet dress, nice shine. Superb fine nose: strawberry, raspberry, pepper, sweet spices, aerial and floral shades with character. Nose that pinote. Structured and light mouth, medium + acidity, absolutely ready to drink. Semi-light body, paradoxical with chew, and delicate tannins. Endelived, charming, discreetly long finish between raspberry, pepper, spices and blood orange (?) A fine price/pleasure ratio to have in the cellar, in the light-bodied category.

Robe grenat légère, bel éclat. Nez superbe, fraise, framboise, poivre, épices douces, nuances aériennes et florales avec du caractère. Nez qui pinote. Bouche structurée et légère, acidité moyen +, absolument prêt à boire. Corps demi-léger, paradoxal avec de la matière, et des tanins délicats. Finale friande, charmeuse, discrètement longue entre framboise, poivre, épices et orange sanguine (?) Un fin rapport prix/plaisir à avoir en cave, dans la catégorie light-bodied. — 3 years ago

Nice treat, threw some darker straw color and effusive nose of lemon/lime, saline, kiwi - sort of green edged fruit but ripe. Silky & fattened up on palate, but still zesty w/acidic structure. More exotic fruit flavors in the mouth like honeydew melon, kiwi & guava. Just well done, not trying to be anything else but a solid aperitif style wine. — 4 years ago
