Arinto is a white grape from Portugal. It can produce high acid wines with lemon notes. If you never heard of this grape and wine you are not alone. Got this at Lo-Fi a funky place/wine bar in Los Alamos, CA 2 years ago. The wines can be hit and miss but this is - well awesome. Super fresh and bright. Mandarine nose, with a touch of malo (cheese). In the glass ton’s of mandarine and citrus notes. Hint green apple. Touch honey. Malolactic fermentation clearly shows. A great wine to pair with seafood. If you are in the Santa Maria Valley stop by - they play old LP’s on their turntable! And for some reason they remember me even if i show up just once a year. — 2 years ago
Well this is damn delicious. Light purple with cute little cherry red accents. Immediately can tell this is natural. Natural, not poorly crafted. Everything is all good here with dark fruit notes on the nose. Plenty of clean funk going on here with a little bit of grass. Very pretty.
85% Mencia co-fermented with Arinto from the Santa Maria Valley. Exceedingly fresh and full of personality, you definitely don’t come across a domestic version of this everyday. More than just another light summer weird, this has plenty of depth to it. But it never lets up on the fun aspect. The palate is reminiscent of the nose with pretty fruit. Super impressive. — 4 years ago
Fruit forward with key notes of cranberry and orange peel. Beautifully soft mouth feel with just a touch of dryness on the finish to give it just a bit of structure or complexity. Great food wine. Had it with braised beef short rib. Delicious. Will buy this wine again if I can get my hands on it. — 5 years ago
Funky, fun and dry orange — 6 months ago
Lo-Fi wine, but if i don't tell you
You wouldn't know
Super elegant, clean
Delicate mandarin fruit with a big splash of sea spray. Great mineral, but being super easy drinking.
Moltitude of pairing possible
From seafood to fresh cheese
Pizza bianca with mortadella or
Spaghettoni butter and anchovies
It can be an aperitif on its own but even though it is only 11.5% it's fleshy and mouthfilling
Definitely a wine to try — a year ago
The fragrance of sweet and pine and plump plump oranges being spritzed about.
Wow. Well deserved ratings I’ve seen. Really getting into vermouths and this white one has just changed my mind about white sweet vermouths. Nuanced and intense. Dried raisins but balanced with a minty, piney quality. Good chew. — 4 years ago
Not as peppery as a typical syrah. Really deep flavors and slight brett. Closest thing to hunt 33 1/3 I've found. The best lo Fi I've had as of yet. — 4 years ago
Great funk and strong finish. — 4 years ago
Deliciously dry, fruity and tart. Berry candy. High acidity — 7 months ago
Really really lovely and light and gentle fizz — 2 years ago
Pure joy in the bottle. A fun summer afternoon back in the day spent with that girl that you still think about when that song comes on. Clear lemon in the glass with faint green flecks. Big floral aromatics initially with herbs and mint. Ripe pears and lemon curd with a dash of honeydew. Apple juice and fresh cut grass.
Richer and more full bodied than you were expecting with high acidity. Really, really nice texture and mouthfeel going on here. Vivacious and lively throughout. The attack is dominated by memories of her before things fell apart. When life was good and the sun shined a little more brightly. An exciting and lovely wine. — 3 years ago

The best wine I’ve drank in recent memory. Will be chasing this one for awhile — 5 years ago

LoFi Wines are the Kings of funk. Cool labels. Their tasting room in Los Alamos is fun with great music. Mega hit and miss when it comes to wines. Pear & apple more or less Ok. 13%. — 2 months ago
