2022 vintage. Any wine that smells like roses gets my attention. In this case the roses are intertwined with spices, and it is hard to find wines this cheap that smell so nice. A delicious, uncomplicated, spicy and fruity Negrette, with a little tannic bite that can be served slightly cold. Abv. 12,5%. This organic Fronton delivers lots of pleasure and character, and it sells for a song. — 9 months ago
The nose shows a bit of herbaceous notes, along with raspberries, blackberries and green bell pepper notes. I could have easily mistaken it for a cab franc. There is a tiny savoury note too, lurking in the back. The palate is medium bodied, with a delicious blackberries-raspberries stew note all along, a velvety mouthfeel that is slightly disrupted by gently drying tannins in the rear. The finish is long, fruity, with a nice savoury note, an rides on a tannic layer until the very end. The palate and finish remind me very much of my beloved Fronton 100% négrette wines from Domaine Le Roc. Good stuff 👍🏻 — 2 years ago
Last ninette of the season. My previous notes still stand. It's a banger of a rosé with a nice body, some width and weight, a long finish and it's sold for a ridiculous small price at the winery. It got cold on my bike this afternoon but this is warming both my heart and my soul 🤩 — 9 months ago
2023 vintage. A whole different wine compared to the 2024 Plaisance. As in this case the Bouysselet was grafted on Merlot vines, the young vine effect doesn't play a role. Yellow, light golden colour. Intense nose with apricot, flowers, beeswax and toast. In the mouth it is powerful, with concentrated stone fruit ( apricots, peaches, prunes), subtle almond bitters, fresh acidity, and a slightly honeyed long finish. Unlike the Plaisance, this is very unique, maybe closer to Timorasso than Chenin Blanc. Producers are aiming for a Fronton Blanc Bouysselet appellation these days, which would be great for the better producers in this underestimated region. Abv. 14%. — 9 months ago
— 3 years ago
2020 vintage. This Négrette has more power than the Folle Noire d'Ambat, but the tannin is a bit more rustic, and the nose is more smoky/ spicy than floral. This needs food, worked well with lentils. Abv. 14%. If I didn't misunderstand Anne Ribes, this wine is not produced anymore these days. — 9 months ago

Nice nose that reminds me of La Folle Noire d'Ambat from Domaine le Roc in Fronton. There is a bit of a wild thing on the nose, with nice cherry and black cherry notes, there is also an iron, metallic touch. Some savoury scents add some complexity. The palate is juicy, acid driven, with some width, some savoury notes all along, like worcestershire sauce. There is a bit of a tannic grip in the rear and a rather long and juicy, and grippy finish that goes on for a while and ends up with that umami flavour. This is very good and a great value at about 17 USD in equivalent local currency. Warmly recommended. 14% abv — 6 days ago
