A good - not sweet - Primitivo with a taste that is round, smooth, soft and elegant. Jam and blueberries, pitch dark colour. Originates from near Manduria, by the family Orsini, which descents from the Italian pope Benedetto XIII, hence the ‘Papale’ name of the wine. — 13 days ago
Cohesive aromas of blackberry and black currant are jammy but well restrained on the nose of this reserve wine. The wine is well balanced on the palate with firm chalky tannins and refreshing acidity, allowing the black-fruit flavors to ride deep into the finish. Needs a 3 hour decant MINIMUM — 24 days ago
Lost some fizz, very dark and sweet — 11 days ago
Holding up very well, but I guess this won’t continue to improve. Tannins present as dusty. Fruit profile is solid. Blueberry and cherry notes captivate. Nice oak treatment melds with moderate acidity. Such a pleasure. — 18 hours ago
This is just a great example of a well made Barbera. Cherry, plum, spices and some smoky notes. This has depth and structure for atleast 3-5 years of fine drinking — 16 days ago
Really awesome. Meaty, masculine with juicy acidity and grippy but fine tannin. Cherries, leather, meat, pepper, forest floor on the nose. Will likely last for decades. — 14 hours ago
Nose has cold-ripe peach, washed lime, wet limestone and lemon slice.
Palate has lime peel, under-ripe peach, cold lychee, candied lemon with mild acidity, but it's in great balance to the fruit.
$15.49 at Costco, best wine bargain I've seen in the warehouse in quite some time. Everyone should buy at least a bottle if you like a crisp wine for your summer enjoyment. We've got more and will enjoy next in the warmer weather! — 18 hours ago
Coffee oak, becomes exquisite after 24 hours. Wide ranging aromas are superbly placed. — 18 days ago

@Paul T- Huntington Beach Thank you my friend. composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it prances out of the glass with carefree plum preserves, blackcurrant pastilles and dried mulberries scents plus nuances of candied violets, tobacco leaf, wild sage and charcuterie with a waft of tapenade. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of savory layers, supported by firm, ripe, grainy tannins and a refreshing line, finishing with lingering earthy sparks. — 9 days ago
