Pencil shavings on nose. Bold, dry, black cherry forward, oak and some tannins follow on the backend. Opened bottle and nursed over 2 hours (no decanter in hotel)...wine opened and softened nicely. — 4 years ago

Nice wine from 2020 with herber Note from start, deep red color, some taste of chocolate and berry.
Sehr dunkles Rubinrot, die Nase noch etwas verhalten, Noten von Pfeffer, Erde, Cassis und Pflaume, am Gaumen wuchtig mit viel Konzentration, deutliche Holznoten, ein kraftvoller Wein.

J’ai trouvé qu’il manquait un peu d’amplitude, moins visqueux que d’autres millésimes. En bouche pelure/zeste orange, caramel brulé. Bu sur +\- 7 jours, il s’améliorait de jour en jours, finale courte, il lui manquait un petit quelque chose, peut-être quelques années en cave pour lui donner 2-3 point de plus — 3 years ago

Amazing purchase after a day of riding the Rhône Valley wine region. Stopped at the Chateau and Cave for a last tasting. We were so impressed with the diversity of the wine and the Blends that we bought a bottle and enjoyed it ion the hotel terrace. What a treat! Beautiful spice and fruit flavors with that mineral earth taste. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect blend with a full body taste!! — 2 years ago

Nez muet à l’ouverture mais qui s’ouvre de façon élégante sur de beaux fruits rouges, des épices douces, un petit peu terreux. La bouche suit la même tendance, un peu fermée pour s’ouvrir finalement sur un beau fruit engageant, une acidité bien sentie, presque minérale, des tannins de fort belle texture, il y a une belle vivacité, finale de longueur moyenne mais savoureuse. Un très bon Chassagne rouge très typé je pense du terroir qui aurait pu mériter un peu plus de temps en cave.

Muted nose at first, took time to open up and it did so very nicely on red fruits, soft spices and a touch of an earthy feel. The palate follows the same trend, fairly closed and then started to blossom with that gorgeous and energetic red fruit, nice acidity, almost mineral, with tannins that have a nice texture on the palate, the delicious finish is of medium length. A very nice and typical red Chassagne that could have benefited of a little more time in the cellar. — 2 years ago
