Violets and macerated strawberries plus a surprisingly tannic structure — a month ago
Very yummy. Good body — 4 years ago
I've never had a 100% based Graciano grape Rioja before but this was exquisite. The flavours were full and rich and the body was intense. 10/10 would drink again and highly recommend. — 8 years ago
Adored this. Almost like Northern Rhone Syrah, smoke and violets and meat. Galicia in full force on the list at Aldea. — 10 years ago
Really pretty color. Good nose and great leather aroma. Terrific plum with a soft and silky finish. Not tannic…really good. — 2 years ago
Bought at Canella delectable — 6 years ago
Single parcel Mencía from a southwest facing slope of 80ish year-old vines. Opened yesterday along with the Viñas de Aldea (village version) the Aldea was much more approachable. Today the Seoane has really opened up, but does need a little cellar time (or a big decant) IMHO. Strawberry, graphite, wild herbs, black pepper, very fine tannin and vibrant acidity. 600ish bottles produced. — 8 years ago

Where the cool kids and the somms can get along. Wildly balanced in a harmony we can all agree upon. Potpourri of fresh fleshy cherry, stems, full of green pine and acetone and crystalized Luden cough drops, residues of mint, meat and blood.
Texture like crushed velvet. Damn soft, subtle cush crunch. — a month ago
