I like the light touch on the extraction here but just a tad too much new oak for my taste. Delicately colored, with a boisterous nose that shows sappy, ripe but tangy red fruit, some nice moist gravel, and a floral note, but a fair amount of coconutty new oak. In the mouth, it’s not overly extracted and shows nice purity of fruit, but the oak flavors seem a tad too prominent, and there is significant oak-derived tannin in the finish. If the oak had been less prominent, this would have been a doozy!
UPDATE: On night 2, the oak is still prominent, so much so that this reminds me very much of an older style (American oak, light extraction) Rioja. Tasty, but not really indicative of Sangiovese. — 3 years ago
Love this. Great balance. Tart/ripe cherry side of things. Oak comes through very strong but it’s so balanced that it works. Could decant for an hour or so. Glad I have another bottle — 7 years ago
Very light with a sharp finish. Not too sweet or overly fruity. — 11 years ago
Lovely dark red color. Complimented with a fragrant nose of cherries, blackberry with black olives all expressed when drinking with a nice mouth feel. Finishes nicely with a lingering dark fruit flavor with that taste of black olives as it finishes. — 5 years ago
Still showing lots of fruits. Nicely integrated new oak. — 11 years ago

Got this bottle in last bottle. First try. Floral is nice. Light color. Nice light wine. Easy to drink. Nothing that’s taking my socks off if you know what I mean. I also had a tough last couple days so I’m not sure if it makes it taste better or worse. Let it sit for a min, it tastes good. Light oak. Current ? Not sure what a current is. 9.0. 25$. Worth it. — 15 days ago
