Black currant, smoky blueberries, cassis, and mint. Cornerstone Cellars 2012 Michael's Cuvée doesn't disappoint. It's opulent, with palate-drenching blackberries and blueberries, lovely purity of fruit with seductively sueded tannins. A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot, this cuvée was assembled from the historic Oakville Station Vineyard (read that as To Kalon) 57%, 28% Kairos Vineyard, and 9% Ink Grade Vineyard on Howell Mountain. For the money, it's exceptional. 14.9% ABV | Sample — 8 years ago

Fresh and fruit, love this blend and don't think anyone else can do it. Unique wine — 9 years ago
Dried fruit at the front, warm oak on the nose. Some tannin at the end, but overall very lush. Better as it opens up. — 7 years ago

This is a 2016 so still young for a wine that should have longevity. It however drinks like a mature wine now. Very complex with some blackberry and cherry at the beginning then continuing to smooth out the longer it gains oxygen. Finish is so good and carries you to the next bite of that wagyu New York Strip. — 5 years ago
