A lovely surprise, the first time I try the Lafoy Côte Rotie, 100% Syrah, elegant and smooth. Deep purple, opens up with light green notes, plenty of black and red fruits, floral notes, medium to full body, smooth and elegant with round tannins and lovely acidity. A lovely finish, that leaves you with a taste of more. My score 89, drink to 2021 — 9 years ago

2021 vintage. The white/black pepper thingy (pesticides) in the nose. Light-medium body. Super-chiseled with dark fruit, aforementioned pepper presence, graphite and hints of blackberry. Lean and mean. 11.20.24. — a month ago
