Collector's Edition Gewürztraminer 2018

Pale lemon in color with a green hue.

Very nice nose of citrus, honeydew, yellow apples, spices, tropical fruits, flowers, melons, pineapples, lemons and minerals.

Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, apples, pears, spices, minerals, salt, light vegetables and white pepper.

Nice length on the finish with spices and almonds.

This is a very nice wine from Israel. Showing a great nose with a nice mouthfeel. Shows mild complexity on the palate.

Very enjoyable by itself or with food. Good for the pool or parties.

Better when not too cold, and that's when the nose really shines. Loved the nose here.

Would be interesting to see how it evolves in the next 3 years.

I paired it with cheeses and crackers.

13.4% alcohol by volume. Kosher.

89 points.

Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

2014 vintage. A blend of CS and Petit Syrah from the Kadita vineyard in Upper Gallilee. Dark inky color with black berries nose and a matured dry plum note. Smooth and balanced. We had it during a barbecue and probably have missed some of the attributes of this fine wine. — 6 days ago

Admon Vineyard Malbec 2014

This is a very tasty Single Vineyard Malbec from Israel. Drinking very nicely now. Spicy and rich. Showing nice complexity at this point.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Showing black fruits with wood, earth, light vegetables, tobacco, chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.

Soft finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

Drinks like a 10 year old Bordeaux mixed in with a Napa Cabernet.

This 6 year old is nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Delicious once it opens up. Peaking now and will be good in the next few years.

A very enjoyable wine even by itself. I've had it before, and this time I gave it 3 hours to open up properly in a decanter. Very drinkable so watch out.

Misty Hills Red Blend 2014

#kosherwineSunday, and for Father's day, here is a beautiful red to celebrate.

Dark inky in color with a short brick/ purple rim.

Great nose of blackberries, blackcurrants, black plums, cherries, figs, vanilla, oak, eucalyptus, light alcohol, earth, leather, coke, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Full bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blueberries, black currants, chocolates, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, light vegetables, pencil lead, black pepper and earth.

Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.

This is a great Cabernet blend from Israel. Showing great complexity and a smooth, soft mouthfeel.

Tasty and fruit forward, without being overwhelming. Gentle and elegant. Spicy finish makes it interesting.

Feels like a high quality Washington State Cabernet based Bordeaux blend, just to give you a reference.

I've had it before (a different vintage), but it was way too young. This 6 year old is drinking very nicely now.

A good quality wine and delicious.
Thank you Sharon, for sharing this with me.

I paired it with 3 different Brie cheese and crackers.

A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Syrah. Grapes were sourced from a north-facing plot, on Terra-Rosa soil. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Kosher. Not Mevushal.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Nice finish with spices and round tannins.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Only after 3 hours of airtime tannins come out. Delicious with good structure.

Jezreel Valley Winery

Single Vineyard Carignan 2014

So this is new and unexpected much like most of this year. Does anyone know what is happening? Didn’t think so. But I do know that it seems in Israel they are doing Carignan justice. It has a heavy silk body, heavy on blue and black fruit and some...tobacco? The structural elements are all in balance it is a well built house, perhaps in the style of...I was gonna say Gaudi because there is a lot happening but it doesn’t feel so avant- garde. I should have food with this. — 25 days ago

Jezreel also does a red wine blend that is out of this world. They are one of the best Israeli wineries up there with Lotem, Shvo and others.
