Generic rating place holder!! This wine is tight as a drum..back into the Erlenmeyer Flask it goes will revisit tomorrow! Happy I have last night's Chardonnay to finish! Notes forthcoming..Hopefully when I can taste something!
Revisit day two. This wine has opened a little..medium + acidity..more earth than fruit..bay leaf.. cinnamon..tea leaf..rose petals.. sandalwood...soft cherry and strawberry presents only on the finish. Very delicate nuances.
Undecided on this wine...will save a bit and try again.
Final notes on this and an education for me! Absolutely an Old World Pinot..earth is the star not fruit. Characteristics are very subtle. Considering 2013..thought it would be ready.

Bright beige gold. Abundant nose and full, rich palate of ripe yellow apple, clover honey, and honeysuckle nectar all yielding briefly to a hint of stone on the lengthy finish. Medium high acidity is just enough to keep this a workable table wine now, and a cellar holder for the long term. Pairing with pork dishes is a natural, as is spicy Asian or Louisiana cuisine.
