It’s the Shiraz rose. Soft strawberries on the palate. Nice wine on a very hot day. — 12 days ago

Band Blend Sonoma County Red Blend 2011

Held it longer than advisable, but it was still wonderful. Rich makes wine that lasts. Track 6, 2011 is the best guess. — 24 days ago

Hidden Block Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Deep ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose and full bodied, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, earth, peppercorn, espresso and chocolates.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a gorgeous 11 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Big, bold and beautiful.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. The high alcohol is very much integrated by now.

Elegant and robust. Rich and extracted. Tangy and interesting.

Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it is very consistent. I had the 2014 vintage 5 years ago, and it is drinking even better now.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with BBQ Meats.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$65 (at release).

'La Carrière' Knights Valley Chardonnay 2021

So first, a caveat: This NEEDS food! It just does. When first opened I really wasn’t a fan, tried to pair it with some lighter charcuterie fare and cheese and it just did not gel. It isn’t the crisp, light bodied chard you’d expect it to be, it’s full bodied, thick, and complex, but once we found the right food, paired with steelhead salmon cooked in butter and bacon grease, wooooah, this moves like you’d found the perfect dancing partner. The color is typical Chardonnay yellow with green hues towards the middle, with strong Meyer lemon and slight dusty stone in on the nose, maybe even some leafy, vegetal notes hidden in there. — 3 months ago

Board Track Racer The Shift Grenache Syrah 2021

Consumed 30-Mar-2025. Dark purple red. Nose is abundant and yields blackberry and blueberry compote. Juicy medium full palate echoes the nose with ashy blackberry taking the lead. Juicy acidity. Medium minus tannins. Lingering, dark finish. An Old World feel makes this Washington GSM blend a great choice for hearty meals year round from the grill to the hearth. Rich meat and vegetable stews will shine. Drink now through 2031. — a month ago

Board Track Racer The Vincent Red Blend 2021

A Bordeaux style blend from Washington State. Dark red fruit aromas, hint of sweetness. Quite a lot of tannins. Can use more time in the bottle to soften a little bit more. Quite nice.
