The recently released (3/24) Bodega Theriot Chardonnay from Rivers-Marie is excellent. Sunlit straw color, subtle nose, beautiful white fruits, crushed stone and the slightest bit of oak at the back to round it off. This should gain depth from its existing heights! — 11 days ago

Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 2 months ago

This is really really good. Wish I had more. Give it 30 min to open up and it sings. Nose is incredible floral bouquet. Cassis, black and blue fruit, baking spices, graphite, so well integrated and tannins are luscious. Smooth and great mouthfeel with a nice long finish. Really in its prime. — 4 months ago

Really original wine, reminds me of the first time I tasted The Prisoner years and years ago, the original Zinfandel version that is. This is a Petit Syrah, Merlot, Cab blend with concentrated flavors and deep complexity… Need time to open and achieve balance. Cheers. — 4 months ago
