This is a gorgeous Tokaji furmint dry. The nose shows honey, a bit of vanilla, pear, hasselnut. It's a bit shy but very inviting and lovely. The palate is a model of balance. It's showing the usual acid drive I associate with that varietal but there is additional matter and complexity that makes it better than usual super acid driven examples of it. Some honey, some hasselnut notes all along, a bit of a peary note and that peary juice, slightly grainy texture. Some grip in the rear before a long, complex and lovely finish with pear, honey, hasselnut and that vanilla touch that goes on for a long while. That's a superb wine in my book! — 9 days ago

100% Sangiovese. Bright garnet with a ruby core. Aromas of black cherry, violets, wet potting soil and leather. The palate features black cherry/raspberry flavors with additional notes of tobacco, pepper spice and baking spices. Long and earthy finish. Fine tannins and firm (but bright) acidity.
