Pale yellow wine with aromas of citrus, herbs and tropical flesh fruit. On the palate pear and peach flavors with citrus zest and earthy notes on a balanced structure with lively fresh acidity. Medium+ finish, ending with green fruits, citrus and spicy mineral notes. — 5 months ago

Heavy body, violets, blackberry, fruity but not jammy, soft tannins… delicious! — a year ago
2015: Rich, generous CC Gran Selezione drinking very well now. I wouldn’t mistake it for the top Brunellos but good fruit and quality viscosity set it apart from the better Riservas. Touches of tar and leather give it a good dose of complexity. $45? At WL. — 2 years ago

This is a gorgeous Tokaji furmint dry. The nose shows honey, a bit of vanilla, pear, hasselnut. It's a bit shy but very inviting and lovely. The palate is a model of balance. It's showing the usual acid drive I associate with that varietal but there is additional matter and complexity that makes it better than usual super acid driven examples of it. Some honey, some hasselnut notes all along, a bit of a peary note and that peary juice, slightly grainy texture. Some grip in the rear before a long, complex and lovely finish with pear, honey, hasselnut and that vanilla touch that goes on for a long while. That's a superb wine in my book! — 5 months ago
