Galitsky & Galitsky Krasnaya Gorka Merlot - Merlot Day — a year ago
Quite deep yellow gold colour. Quite honied , touch white flowers , peach , apricot , waxy notes . On the palate quite rounded fruit , but bone dry quite intense finish. Those slightly honied yellow fruits come back on the palate, along with some ripe apple and lanolin. Balanced refreshing acidity, balanced alcohol also. Mineral tinged finish with pretty good length . Drink now , though it might last a couple more years it is unlikely to improve . — 2 years ago
Nose is aromatic with orange blossom and a slight hint of tomato leaf. Not quite as briny as Albariño but crisp and refreshing — 9 years ago

The best tribute to the unique Basque terroir and its indigenous red grape, Hondarrabi Beltza, grown on the iconic seaside cliffs of the region. This wine channels both tradition and modernity with an unpretentious yet unmistakably refined personality. Like its white and rose counterparts this rendition showcases freshness, salinity and acidity with an underripe red fruit character. It's a fun wine meant to be had with the hearty pintxos of the area. — 2 months ago
