A lovely dry Oloroso from this small family boutique winery in Chipiona. They claim to have the vineyards closest to the sea in all of the Jerez (Sherry region). Aromatic notes of candied walnuts, caramel, creme brûlée, and molasses, with the lingering scent of iodine in the background, which comes from the land near the sea. Creamy in the mouth with a luscious acidity. 18% alcohol. It could combine well with a myriad of different dishes from sharp cheeses and nuts to roast chicken or even local sautéed mushrooms. Excellent in every way! — 5 years ago

Very nice boutique wine. — 8 years ago
Great surprise. A Syrah from Guadeloupe Valley in Baja California. Thought it might be getting over the top given it’s age and region where it was grown but nothing further from the truth. This wine has plenty of acidity, very well structure and penetrating spice. We had it with a tortilla soup and what an awesome match. It brought forth strong earthy notes and amplified the spice. — 3 years ago
We brought back a case of this Champagne from Reims, France. We really enjoyed that region we stayed at Assete Chambonise It was a forgoes boutique hotel. — 5 years ago
Bar none, the best 100% Cabernet I’ve had the opportunity to taste out of the Central Valley. The power and fruitiness that Paso Robles is known for, but with a European influence that softens the fruit and gives exceptional mouthfeel. This is absolutely a 10 in my book, like nothing I’ve ever had in Paso Robles, a small boutique winery that will make huge inroads into the mainstream very soon. If you haven’t heard of Benom, don’t worry, you will.....a fantastic effort from Arnaud and Guillaume Fabre. This winery will set a new bar in this region. — 6 years ago
Outstanding Gamay from a boutique natural wine maker in the Avergne region of France. Notable acidity with an earthy, potting soil and violet nose, sour cherry flavours initially come through and then maybe boysenberry or some other dark fruit. The wine is lively, almost effervescent and its complex and most importantly, utterly delicious. — 3 years ago
An incredibly jammy Zinfandel from the Amador Foothills of California. A lesser respected region producing delectable wines from mostly boutique wineries. Consistently is key to this Rombaurer Zin - it’s always a great go to. This is not the super peppery a zin can be, its an elegant wine for $35. — 5 years ago

Weitzman Winery, Cabernet Sauvignon Petite Verdot blend from the Gilboa region, 2013 vintage.
Age adds to this beautiful blend which is in its peak. Mature aromas of leather and earth with dried fruits . The palate is long, smooth balanced and rich. Excellent achievement by this boutique winery. — 2 years ago
