Whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented. Not clear what Cordilleran refers to other than the geography where the winery and sourced vineyards are located in north central Washington state, north of the Columbia Basin. Stone fruit on nose, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, herb and a touch of hay in mouth, complex flavor profile; all the whole cluster bit, perhaps. Mineral finish with moderate skin astringency, presumably some stem as well. A fun pour, relatively unknown wine region — 3 years ago
Interesting and special more tomorrow. Unique a little buzzed right now. Next day 'am' I took the bottle home. A Riesling Grigio Muscat blend with residual sugar. White peach nose, touch of attractive bitterness, mandarine zest, passion fruit. Rarely do I like sweet wines but this one is just a beauty the perfect match with Thai food on its own for brunch or with strawberries and cream. 👏👏👏. — 10 years ago

Fairly simple label. Does look like the area it came from in the art though. I grew up there. Dark, dark color of the skins of black cherry and plums. Smells like forests and berries and other red/black fruits. Strange streak. Licorice perhaps. Good-N-Plenty. Flavors are excellent. Spicy and full. The balance is good, but this should age for another 10-15 years. Earthy and funky. Elderberry, serviceberry, mulberry. Extraction is great. Hint of mint on end. This is a big and surprising red for 13.3% ABV. Not a familiar Arg or CA Malbec. Has terrior. Reminds me of the place. — a year ago
