This is a perfect expression of Sangiovese.
The nose is of ripe fruit, black currents, light spice and a touch of juniper.
Soft on the palate, fruit forward after 20 minutes decanted.
Enjoyed with farfalle pasta with long simmering red meat sauce with capers & black olives. The 2016 vintage is mature and ready to drink! — 5 months ago
