Totally agree w @Eric Urbani. This is a total winner from Sabelli-Frisch. A fascinating varietal w unexpected and beautifully layered flavors. Ripe black raspberry, currants, some tobacco, leather, and wine root stock (?). The final finish is absolutely reminiscent of port (not surprisingly). Great at PnP, but Definitely improved over 3-5 days open. Will be interesting to revisit some in 5 years, if there’s any left :) — 3 years ago

Nicely rounded, barely any tannins palpable — 2 years ago
I loved this! Sweeter side of dry, sparkly on the tongue. Bordering on cider. — 3 years ago
Fresh and restrained. A far cry from the 2019.
@Eric Urbani nailed it. A staggering amount of vintage variation over the last several years with this being the most nuanced. — a year ago
Già più maturo rispetto a 2016 o 2015. La siccità è stata ben gestita, rimane ti incredibile bevinilitá e l'alcool 15,5 gestito ottimamente. — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner. I’m just going to cut to the chase: the 2021 Serraboella is absolutely stunning. The wine pours a beautiful ruby color with a brilliant, transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous, concentrated notes of ripe red and dark fruit: Morello cherry, roses, talcum powder, dry earth and exotic Eastern spices. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. This is a sapid Barbaresco with a finish that lasts FOR-EV-ER. There is so much power and grace. So much balance. In such a special vintage, the Cigliuti sisters allowed their fruit from Serraboella to become a wine that is sure to become legendary. Drink now through 2061. — 23 days ago
