Limite Falsini 2019 Cabernet Franc
Deep ruby core, vibrant ruby red edges. The nose is all fresh currants and bing cherry, with graphite, violets, saddle leather and roasted garden herbs. On the palate the acidity is med+, very refreshing especially for as dense as this is (how I would love to see more wines like this have this balance). Med+ ripe and polished tannin and full bodied. The palate flavors are med+ verging into full confirming the palate. The finish is long. One of the best cab francs I have EVER had outside of the Loire not a Bordeaux right bank blend. β 2 years ago
Vibrant red fruit. Great acidity with balanced tanins. Nice vegetal/tomato leaf character. Medium on the palate. Nice weight but sits lightly and finishes cleanly. β 9 years ago
Davanti Casa (not just Pignatone)
One of the most complete Etna wines I have ever had! This is a stunner and once word gets out should become one of the leading benchmark wines from Etna. Ruby red, transparent. The nose is med+, palate is med+ to full and long into the finish. Red currants, cherry, spice and pod oranges. β 2 years ago
2018 Coyam from Emiliano Los Robles Estate 150 km south of Santiago, Chile.
Organic and biodynamic practices by Alvaro Espinoza.
42% Syrah, 39% Carmenere, 6% Cab Sauv, 5%Garnacha, 3% Malbec, 3% Carignan, 1% Tempranillo and 1% Mourvèdre. Truly a field blend wine.
Ripe blueberries, blackberries and cherries on the nose with a hint of earth.
This wine is so smooth. Flavours of plums, dark fruit, fig and a hint of smokiness. Smooth tannins and a long finish. Put anything on the grill and enjoy this. β 3 years ago
