Fizzy berries on slate, very pleasantly effervescent, I love it. Lingering limestone. — 3 months ago

Chablis Chardonnay

This was actually the “Homme Mort” 1er cru but i can’t get Delectable to properly name it. Delicious, a bigger rich style for Chablis — 10 months ago

"Coteau de la Mort" Mondeuse 2017

Tense and balanced, low intervention but still polished, nice fruit and earth and spice. Good value on the list at Chambers. — 2 years ago

L'Homme Mort Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2021

Star bright yellow gold. Inviting nose and medium light palate of tart yellow apple, with the palate adding a flinty mineral note that's classic Chablis. Acidity is medium plus: just right to support a wide range of cuisines. Northern French and seafood are obvious pairs, but I enjoyed with the Louisiana favorite, jambalaya. Drink now through 2026. — 3 months ago

Tentation Les Hauts de Huire Gamay 2006

The paradox of a wine that appears as "dead for then reborn" is the sensation that this wine provides, which we can't imagine drinking so old (16 years old). The dress is ruby-tile, unfiltered. In the mouth, notes of red fruits (strawberry) are always imposed with vivacity, supported by multiple and aerial notes of evolution. Light bitters bring a very interesting paradoxical dimension for those who love evolved wines.

Nose is so airy and mineral with a bit of fat but not much. Seashells. oyster bed, some green apple and lovely wet rain effect. A scene in nature as I like to say. Palate is rich and ripe but with so much nerve and energy and an icing on the cake like texture. Great purity, density and concentration. Long, tangy finish. Really compelling and a bit cold and young so will follow. Nose gets some lemon curd and spice now with air. Wonderful combo of opulence and tension. Really nailed the vintage. — 4 months ago

L'Homme Mort Vieilles Vignes Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2018

A Chablis with a lot of upside. Nicely layered with lots going on but somehow needing a few more years to sort out. — 2 years ago
