La Doriane Condrieu Viognier 2020

Outstanding viognier from this legendary producer. Father’s Day gift from my son so I popped it immediately but I bet this would be amazing 5+ years from now! — 5 months ago

Gattinara Nebbiolo 2002

Servi en côte-à-côte avec le 2008. A un peu souffert de la comparaison étant donné son fruit en retrait et ses notes plus terreuses et épicées. — 5 years ago

Clos de Gat

Har'El Syrah 2016

Third tasting and it reveals itself at its peak in a style that recalls Cornas or a first-class Saint-Joseph: Smoked bacon, animal, crunchy and powerful. Gourmet sensation of residual sugar. Caramel, roasting. Long and refined finish with drying and persistent tannins. Magnificent price/pleasure ratio. 2016 is perfectly balanced.

Magnifique rapport prix/plaisir. 2016 est parfaitement à l’équilibre.

Un grand vin cette Turque. Pas encore sur son plateau... Grande complexité et finesse.

La Mouline Côte-Rôtie Syrah 1983

18.5. First and second bottles of a case, tried several years ago, were hopeless - murky, flat. So gave up but didn’t discard the remaining 10, which resurfaced recently. My son and my ex-wife tried one a week ago and said wonderful. Last night, I confirmed that. No excessive wood, indeedno flaws. Nose best early on, faded a bit. But mouthfeel, fruit and length exceptional. An outstanding CR - definitely superior to Chapoutier la Mordoree 2005 that I had last week, which was fine but not outstanding. — 4 years ago

Lessona Nebbiolo 2010

Delicious Nebbiolo and the really special bits: made by son of vintner who makes my favorite wine (Cepparello), poured by his lovely Mother, tasted at Isole e Olena by the setting Tuscan sun. Wow. #thankful — 9 years ago
