Paso Robles Zinfandel Blend 2017

Double decanted, then allowed for slow ox for 24 hrs. Strange, jammy on first taste. Day 2 developed into complex, layers of licorice, meaty, long mid palate. Will let the others rest for awhile. Upside is huge — 5 months ago

The Red Barn Off Black Sage Road

Hawk's Lair Merlot 2013

Tastes of yellow seed grass with hints of plastic. Fantastic! The flavour is beyond delectable. It just tickles my fancy like no other. It swims down your throat like a yellowfin tuna swimming downstream the St. Lawrence River. Sometimes i dream of this wine while watching the stars on my private island. — 6 years ago

Domaine Laurent & Karen Boussey

Les Charmes Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

I love boussey. The wines have that combination of dense but moderate fruit, minerality and acidity. And all of that is a backdrop to nicely delineated secondary flavors. Really so juicy too. Great with food.

The nose here is mineral. But minerals from petrified flowers. Really beautiful.

Palate is spring mountain stream wet rocks downstream of Macintosh and green apples. Ok maybe not exactly Macintosh but I love Macintosh so that’s what I’m going with. It’s my tasting note so buzz off.

Lovely mineral finish. Really lingers. So fresh.

There’s like a hint of meursaulty denseness and a kiss of unct (the single unit of unctuousness). Otherwise I wouldnt even guess meursault even with a. Hint. It’s so fine.

As this opens its richer and denser. Some spice on the finish.

Man I love this producer. I guess I said that already.

Poggio Verrano

Dròmos Maremma Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2006

Importantly, the food is SoundSide magic..:) This wine is earthy on the nose (dirty enough to seduce) elegantly showing rich dark cherry on first blush that gradually coats one's mouth with a mix of dark fruit then finishes with a velvety downstream drift. An 06 that will likely get better yet..:) — 8 years ago

Château Fleur Cardinale

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

A quick taste from the Coravin yields an amazing floral nose. I believe it's its best quality. Opens with bright red cherries, strawberry and a hint of cassis. Nice acidity and structure. I'm going to enjoy this a few years downstream. — 4 years ago

Domaine Lafage

Miraflors Rosé Blend 2014

A near perfect rosé at a great price. I prefer this soft fruit tempered by a light floral note all properly and proportionately positioned against a mineral intensive rocky bottom as swift waters twist and turn their way downstream leaving one's palate clean and refreshed but laced with the memory of the moment😎🌀 - buy the magnum at my favorite local Morehead City, NC hang - Promise Land Market (thx sweet Janeen and Daniel for spinning some crazy sweet tunage!)! Find this place in all its realness, and drink this wine! — 6 years ago
