Brilliant Purple and ruby color. Medium viscosity. Jaboulet domaines know how to make great Syrah..and this is no different. on the nose, you get delicate layers of red and blue fruits, bacon, violet, spices, wet leaves and crushed rocks. On the palate, this wine is dry, medium plus acidity, medium plus body, silky, round medium tannins and medium alcohol. You can’t miss the beautiful and powerful mineral/granite overtones. Super well integrated and long savory finish. Complexity in harmonious brilliance..this is a treat! (Decanted for an hour) — 4 years ago

The wine was open and singing for about 45 min. It reminded me why people chase these wines down. — 6 years ago
Bright acidity! Falls off quick. — 8 years ago
Vintage 1988 | opened without expectations. It’s a fragrant and delicate Old Lady! Pinot noir 32 years old: a smell with brushwood, truffle and plums. From a modest origin. Surprise, still very drinkable and no odd signs of wine that has passed away. I am lucky. | Paired with pasta porcini. It makes my day. — 5 years ago
The wine at this stage is in decline. Still offering beautiful sous-bois aromatics and medium acidity. The wine doesn’t evolve with time instead showing same flavors throughout the night. Turkey pleaser. From mag — 6 years ago
