Fee-nominal…the winner (so far) of the 2010’s PV challenge. At 11.5 years from harvest, this beauty from Matthieu Finot sang like a concentrated Right Bank medoc…layers of dark berries, violet & herbs with smoky matting. Still proving enough tannic punch to cut through house grilled cheeseburgers and squash. Bold yet balance. Thank you Ellen for this wonderful gift :) — 2 years ago
Had to pop this to help celebrate the crowning achievement that the incredibly astute Matthieu Finot has been awarded- and more over to toast to all the BEAUTIFUL work that’s been (& BEING) done by the “3”. Jake & Emily I sing all of your praises- and this beautiful wine of its very own impressive “conversation” is an even richer conversation than when we first for to wrap it around our ‘thirsty palates’.
BRAVO TO THE THREE! The three...with lamb chops tonight. Baby. — 7 years ago
Stunning example of natural winemaking with minimal interference. Yes, the rustic vibe was vibrant on the nose, but a real sense of place & terroir poured through on the palate. dense, and chewy yet with a medium weighted mouth feel. delicious food wine or highly contemplative picnic in the park to sip and savour. A thought-provoking wine. — 10 months ago
Stunning maturity in the cellar - concentration of brambled fruit - reds/blacks. A touch of spice from the oak. No substitute for complex hot summer fruit. Holding out much better than the 2007 hot vintage. This is consistent with the stunning 2010 Merlot that M. Finot made. — 4 years ago
Bright and light with fun, springy tannins — 7 years ago
Rustic, clean….ethereal! Ready for food challenges…acid is poised and candied (discretely) with fading finish. Very sophisticated given its straight fwd linear attack. Blackberry is note this soloist sings :) — 3 years ago
red berries & minerals — 6 years ago
Really strong concentrated rose citrus perfume, not sweet, nice acid and bite in the beginning that gets soft wet with great depth — 7 years ago
