Lovely, rich, good acid. Somewhere between a hot California Viognier and a softer Gallard style Condrieu — 10 years ago
Never met a dessert wine I don’t like. — 7 years ago

Just what I want in a Crozes. So earthy and mineral on the nose. Just wafting out of the glass with dirty crushed granite and feral scents. Some rich blackberry fruit and dried beef too. Broad and very open on the palate. Rich savory flavors all over the place. Some tannin provides a bit of scaffolding, but this is all about now. (I sometimes refer to a good Crozes as “slutty” Syrah, but I probably should avoid terms that have historically been used disparagingly, even though I mean it in a good way!) — 10 months ago
