Anjou, not Chemin ( but it's not listed on here) Exceptionally good white, goes well worth summer meals and very easy to drink — 7 years ago
Nicolas Bertin and Genevieve Delatte's 85 year old Chenin vines planted in the vineyard of "Les Noels," Rablay-sur-Layon. Hence the cuvee name, planted in 1929. Potent juice, beautiful fruit, slightly oxidative in a good way, aged in old barrel. — 10 years ago

Ok mesdames
et messieurs. I knew Les Noels de Montbenault was great, even fantastic. Now what I didnt know is that when you pair it with a Beaufort d'Alpage from a year & half from some small farmers, it becomes the best ever white wine on earth or in paradise. — 11 years ago
A Chenin unicorn that flys off any wine list it finds itself on. In this case, 86d out of only 6 bottles received by Per Se. The nose is what is most captivating. So unique. It’s a bit less reductive and perhaps more exotic than the Noels de Montbenault of the same vintage. It’s layered with flavors of ginger, Leflaive-like sesame, dried apricots, sour apple and salted hazelnuts. There is good richness and a wild texture that’s balanced by fine acidity. A delicious Chenin that I wish there was more of! — 4 years ago
