2022 vintage. Côtes du Roussillon. 100% Grenache Gris, fermented and aged in used 400 liter barrels. Golden colour. Ripe nectarine, pineapple, orange peel, and subtle spices. A powerful wine with concentrated yellow fruit, balanced by fresh acidity, and a distinctive minerality. Good length too. Abv. 14%. — a year ago

Second take on this wine in a different vintage. Very intensively aromatic nose with pear juice, yellow apple, juicy white peach, honey, honeysuckle and a teeny tiny strawberry touch. The palate is broad and showing a very soft, silky mouthfeel, nice peachy and peary notes along with a touch of honey. There is a bit of grip in the rear, a finish with these juicy white fruits and a bit of grip too, it could be a phenolic, tannic thing that is adding a layer of complexity and makes it a great companion to a few oysters (despite a low acid drive) and white fish (hake)cooked on the pan. Delish! — 3 months ago
