Demi sec very very very long lasting — 9 years ago
Crisp, nice acidity & super affordable — 11 years ago
2020 vintage. One of the 3 Muscadet estates owned by Castel, and another very successful 2020. The light yellow colour seems a bit more evolved compared to Hyvernière and Clos d'orfeuilles. White peach and a touch of iodine. Round and fresh, with maybe a few grammes of residual sugar, balanced by the mouthwatering acidity and the typical Muscadet saltiness in the finish. More than decent length. Incredible value. Abv.12%. — 4 months ago
Crisp, some apple, acidity... Great deal — 10 years ago
2024 vintage. Castel owns 3 Muscadet estates, and Clos des Orfeuilles is their flagship ( the others being Château de l'Hyvernière and Château de la Botinière), and also the smallest of the 3 estates (18,5 hectares, organically farmed). Given the e diverse soil types, all parcels are vinified separately, and blended later. There are a lot of exciting wines coming from Muscadet these days, and there is a lot to say for them, in a period where many consumers are looking for low alcohol wines. With only 11% abv., the Clos d'Orfeuilles 2024 is a gorgeous, crisp and mineral Muscadet with intensity and saline length. Moreover it represents incredible value for money. Hard to resist now, but should also age well. — 7 months ago

Been opening for a few years waiting for it plateau but each bottle picks up strength and nuance. Stone wool and lemon on the nose. Great energy and acidity on the palate. Lemon and even more slate/limestone notes. Mouth coating super long finish — a day ago
