Had CVed for comp with Ampeaux. When first opened it smelled like it’s in the edge of oxidation but then it settled down and showed as most of the other Belleville Rully. Complexity, balance, transport to vineyards and vines. Yum. So good with Leila’s garlic buttered shrimp. — 6 months ago

Another wonderful white Burg value from Rully. First notes on this vineyard. On the lean acidic smack you awake side of profile. Makes you think about what you’re drinking even as it washes down perfectly Amah’s wonderful Chinese style luscious lobsters for Father’s Day. Red apple skin, tobacco leaves, bright whole cluster. Strawberry and cranberry fruit. Chalky tannin which shows greater than expected structure, but is consisted with the reported 10-15 day maceration. Tart cranberry to finish. No strong sense of carbonic. — 4 days ago
