Clear, medium purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, black cherries, lavender, and charred wood; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, low tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of tart cherries, dried herbs, and black pepper with a long finish. This wine is a little too bitter at first, but it mellows out after a bit. Overall, I rate this wine as good. Nellie says it's ok. — 11 days ago

Needs time to open up and for the acidity to tone down. Dark and tight, laced with chocolate, wood, smoke. Fairly strong tannins pick up and carry through an acidic finish. — 4 months ago

100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. Fantastic. A southeast brunello. Immediately dark cherry, touches of plums, spice, and the acidity and tannins integrated well. As it decanted, the tannins soften drastically with the acidity slightly overpowering, but nevertheless, the fruit stayed and lingered til the end. — 2 months ago
