Nice Chianti Classico riserva, though would love to see with more age. Definitely get a bit of the classic Chianti earthy rusticity, but this has some real elegance too. A very nice pairing with a Bistecca at the excellent Osteria del Pavone in Florence. — 6 years ago
Good soft bouquet. — 12 years ago
Crowd pleasing complex Chianti. Blend of Sangiovese (85%), Merlot (10%) and Colorino (5%). Aromas of dark berries, dry earth, black olives, leather and rosemary. Dried black cherry envelopes the pallet along with touches of dried cranberries, black licorice and tobacco. Soft tannins and well balanced/fresh acidity. Thank You, Ron B. Revisited in August 2022. A blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot, aged in French oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits and gentle spice notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and ripe blackberry fruit with cacao and baking spices, good balance with lively acidity. Fine structured tannins, long finish ending with a fruit and mineral character. Nice! — 5 years ago

As long as you let this breathe this is a very nice wine! And I mean ten minutes or so …. Great flavor, with a wonderful, oaky, peppery finish. From Wine Insiders. Tasted 27 December 2022. — 2 years ago
