Terrific bottle! Drinking this Swiss expression of the cornalin grape was like hiking through the Alps while eating plums and backcurrants. Fresh and juicy! 100% Cornalin. 9/19/22. — 3 years ago

This red blend from Valle d'Aosta was remarkably smooth and light on its feet considering it's 14% ABV. Notes of red fruit on the nose and berry jam on the palate. Very enjoyable! A blend of Petite Rouge, Cornalin, Mayolet, and Fumin. 6/14/23. — 2 years ago

Very northern Rhône. Rich spicy and savory. — 2 years ago
Delicious… very tasty. Light on the tongue, but still has tons of flavor. Not super tannic. The aftertaste is slightly sweet, but it isn’t sweet on the tongue. Really enjoyable, and I found it at a very good price — 2 years ago

Popped and poured, the 2016 Cornalin pores a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with gorgeous notes of red and black fruit: Maraschino cherry, plum, blackberry, purple flowers, spearmint, smoke, pine needles and crushed rocks. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the mint note is even more pronounced. This was a stunning pairing with a simple mushroom and saffron risotto with chicken thighs. Grazie Tim! Drink now through 2030. — 21 days ago
