Sparrow Hawk

Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Delicious notes on the nose and dark berries and oak on the palate. Smooth. Enjoyed outside a cool summer night in the east bay with grilled meats. — 2 days ago

Maggy Hawk

Afleet Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2019

Each wine in the series is named for a horse born to Maggy Hawk: Jolie, Afleet, Stormin’ and Unforgettable, and to her sire, Hawkster. Medium Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits with notes of dried herbs, citrus and woody spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry with espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine soft tannins on a long finish ending with cacao, spices and slight earthy character. Very nice! — 4 months ago

Herman Story

White Hawk Vineyard Syrah 2021

Well totally closed on opening. Put cork back in and let sit 3 days and it is way better. Huge wine but so freaking good. Blueberry pie, green peppercorns, blackberries, plums, tomato, fresh herbs, flowery perfume, mixed berry jam. It has so much texture. Just keep smelling and tasting new stuff. The prices have increased so not quite as much value, but if you’re into huge CA Rhône’s that have just enough balance, this is a fantastic wine. — a month ago

Like A Hawk Red Blend 2018

Better a few years later but still needs decant. Blueberry, some berry jam, cocoa powder, some savory herbs, a bit of wood, not sure which kind, some cranberries. Overall love this wine. The nose is just awesome. — 7 months ago
