Amazing concentration of blackberries, blueberries, black olives, licorice, incense, spices, and shoe polish. A full bodied wine with silky texture, dark fruit flavors with sour chocolate and olive brine on the midpalate. The finish is long with chewy yet elegant tannins, roasted meat flavors, and black pepper. — 11 years ago
From a sample sent by Christos Zafeirakis, this wine is still a infant although there is an obvious shift in style for the better in comparison to its 2015 iteration. Elegance and finesse can sum up this wines personality, intense floral notes on the nose with discreet fruit laden notes of apricots, pears, candied lime, followed by a touch of Zafeirakis salinity. Clear and focused on the palate, the flavors cut through with crisp citrus notes, salinity, and just a dab of stone fruit that adds texture just not as much as the 2015 vintage. There is an inherent balance that just makes sense, this is incredibly fresh and perhaps at least for me a true expression of what Malagousia can be. — 6 years ago
Excelent premium Agiorgitiko by Christos Aivalis. Unimaginable concentration and amazing barel work which kept the fruit alive while adding the right dosage of vanilla, cinnamon and black pepper. — 9 years ago
Υπέροχη ζέστη κ γεμάτη γεύση — 4 years ago
A new single vineyard wine produced by Christos Zafeirakis, featuring 20 year old vines from Paleomilos, fermented and aged for 12 months in 2400 liter oak barrels. Outright it demonstrates the typical Zafeirakis style but with a bit more potency and concentration; incredible aromas of peach, apricots, intense floral aromas of jasmines, orange peel, gunpowder, crushed stones, white pepper, and an almost imperceptible oak laden vanilla note. A midbodied white with a promising structure, flavors of green apples, pears, and apricots on entry, a refreshing saline mineral midpalate with a plethora of citrus that penetrates the long lasting spicy finish with minor hints of buttery oak flavors. Although this is still a infant, there is an inherent balance between fruit, acidity, and oak, reminiscent of a top tier white Burgundy but with the telltale Zafeirakis finesse and saltiness. — 6 years ago
This 100% Organic Wine has A classic citrus Taste and floral nose. The blend of the Roditi with the Chardonnay gives this wine a great taste to be enjoyed immediately. Natural Sea air salts from open barrel fermenting give this wine its salt after -tones. Even finish, not too dry but acidic, as Greek Wines usually are. Domaine Zafeirakis is currently administered by 4th Generation Wine Maker Christos Zafeirakis. #domainezafeirakis #organicwine — 10 years ago

This is a great combo! Not sure if I’ve had kydonitsa before. Lemon and sea salt on the nose. Very dry and crisp. Tart. Some acidity in a good way. Lemon and unripe nectarine. — 2 years ago
