Château Vieux Coutelin

St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Still quite tight and youthful, it shows nice cassis fruit, a bit of sweet vanilla, crushed dark stones, and dried twiggy underbrush on the nose. Still quite a bit of youthful tannin on the palate, with tightly-wound flavors of blackcurrant, iron, and graphite. Very good acidity too. Very good now with my shepherd’s pie but will be much better in 5. — 2 years ago

Just shameful on St. Patrick’s Day. Great grandfather Dinneen is rolling over in his grave.

Château Rocher Coutelin

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Bottle recommended by waiter. Paired nicely with Beef Borginion. Hint of dry and spice. Looking to buy again. — 2 years ago

Chateau Haut Tour de Coutelin

Saint Estephe Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Wow, flavor bomb 💥 intense and complex. Tobacco, mocha, cedar, graphite, and dirt around a nice core of sweet and charred dark fruit, cassis, plum, and blackberry. Soft, round, and long. Yum!

Drank really well after a splash decant, faded a tad after a few hours.
