Sound wine for the price, 2020, $13, it won the blind tasting from the “fruit forward“ wine lovers — 4 months ago
Terrific. Such a gorgeous wine of complexity and profundity with each flavor profile complementing the other. Redolent in the extreme, heavy in fruit and spices: Ripe red berries, cherry, pomegranate, and candied strawberry. The palate has a freshness to it, while remaining wise and powerful. Cherry cola and cacao, raspberry and jasmine. There is a gentle tannic structure and medium acidity that finishes in a smooth and lasting vibrancy. — 8 months ago
Lots of strawberry, black cherry, and dried strawberry fruit, with green leaves and flowers. Lots of gravely minerality with some sand. Just enough green apple acidity. Low tannins but they sneak up on you. Very light bodied. Complex fruit finish. I think this tastes like more of a deep rose than a red. That's no complaint. This was delicious with shrimp and truffle oil infused grits. I didn't know Pinot noir was grown in Sancerre until the very knowledgeable person at Wine Poste pointed this out to me. — 8 years ago

I'm going high on this one. Up front is a lot of big fruit with all kinds of cherry, red, black, and dried. But it's complex, with apple, strawberry and much else mixed in. Acidity is high, but just right to balance the fruit. There is moderate stony minerality and herbal notes here and there. Tannins are very restrained and this is a light and approachable wine. It gets more complex as it airs. I think it would be very good with charcuterie and sausages. I had it with a shrimp and sausage etouffe. It has enough fruit to stand up to strong flavors and enough acidity to cut through rich food. This comes from a very northern planting of Pinot, and it's an unusual and interesting wine. Shout out to the folks at Wine Poste in the Bishop Arts District for stocking this and putting it in a tasting. — 8 years ago

Started showing up after 30 minutes. White flowers and a touch of citrus. These guys are proud of their wines and they price them accordingly. Thy again next year. — 2 months ago
