2008 vintage. Catherine Papon-Nouvel produces excellent organic wines (also at her three Saint-Emilion estates Gaillard, Clos Saint Julien and Petit Gravet Aîné) and I consider Peyrou 2016 one of the best values in Bordeaux. Therefore I was very happy to find a bottle of 2008 to see the ageing potential, and it was a pleasant surprise. Fully mature, but by no means tired. Even if the tannins are a little rustic (rather typical for the vintage) and it could do with more length, this is great value at 13 euros and a strong case for the ageing potential of Côtes du Castillon wines. — 4 years ago

Hadde denne vinen til en forrett som blant annet bestod av gravet laks...litt eikesmak på vinen! — 4 years ago

Pale salmon in color; citrus peel, and jasmine on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like strawberries, watermelon, and a little cherry with a long finish. I think there's some residual sugar. Easy drinking. I like it and Nellie does too. — 3 days ago
