Chopper has a race tomorrow. Drinking alone... Love dolcetto. This one has some spice to it, which is interesting. Dolcetto is usually so soft and accomodating. Yeah. Sour cherries. Touch of rhubarb. Little but of Pall Mall, or maybe a Lucky. — 10 years ago
This bottle came through a fraught ocean passage in 2018, with heat and humidity extremes. It has retained its fruit, structure and more. Lush blackberries, with a tannic kick. A ton of other flavors in there they you can discover. Thrilled that it survived so well. — 3 years ago
Nariz: cereza, ciruela, rosas, cuero
Boca: seco, Tanino M+, Acidez M+, Alcohol M+.
No tiene la complejidad de otros Barolos pero la puntuacion me parece que es los altos 80s. — 7 years ago
Well rounded, dry wine! — 8 years ago
Opened up nicely. Drinking well after about an hour decant. True Barolo style. — 11 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Bright Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spices, oak and smoky tobacco notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with notes of pepper, tobacco, cedar and vanilla. Long finish, nice balance with firm tannins, ending with oak and earthy notes. Ok but a few more years in the bottle might benefit! — 7 months ago
