Ruby/ purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Nice nose that feels more like red Bolgheri.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, light earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This young Super Tuscan is already enjoyable, even by itself. Rich and powerful.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Soft and elegant.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Good by itself or with food.

A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in stainless steel vats for 12 months.

14% alcohol by volume.

Showing plums, currants, light wood, spices, coffee, earth, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Sangiovese blend from Tuscany. Rich, yet elegant. Nicely balanced, soft and engaging.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good by itself or with food, and a great sipping wine.

A blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

13% alcohol by volume.

Nice and rich langhe nebbiolo to go along a cabbage and tomato stew made by my wife. Superb pairing. Cherry, coffee, toasted almonds, an earthy thing too. This is quite inviting yet a bit austere and mysterious even. The palate shows a great acid drive, a suave and soft mouthfeel at first, almost mouth-coating, with cherries and red berries all along. There is width, there's a bit of grip that turns into tannins in the rear. These tannins become quite powerful and power up a long and nice finish with cherries, a slight blood orange note (with a tiny bitter note) and that drying layer that goes on for a while. Tannins are actually tamed by the tomato and the beef in the stew and that's why this pairing rocks. By itself, chances are that they could be a tiny bit too harsh. Very good stuff ! — a year ago

Layered smell with chocolate coming first then a light poke of alcohol. Very easy to drink, with only a hint of tannin, and refreshing aftertaste (2-3s) of mixed spices. Notes of cherry, blueberry (or maybe raspberry). Would be good to pair with light game (pigeon, rabbit) or heavier fish. — 4 years ago
