This is the Chanson/Bastion G-C…decanted 90 mins….lovely Burgh, very refined/subdued, but lacks depth to me, turned a bit sour late. Maybe a bit more earth than I like? Really lingering over it. J loves it — 4 years ago

A chilled red on a perfect Arizona day, what more does one need?
This is a tart juice, cranberry with a lil strawberry sidekick. Perfect to drink by itself or with a meal. Held up with our pasta night! — 6 years ago
Elegant wine. Violets, cherries, game meat. Chalky tannins. Not de-stemmed or oaked. Finished in concrete tanks. Simply a pure expression — 7 years ago
A beautiful example of what a natural wine can be. Earthy forest, green peppers and pine. Both interesting and delicious. Hard to stop drinking. Thanks J&C! — 7 years ago

Super jammy, higher acidity, dark fruits. C liked more than J — 2 years ago
Drank over the course of three days; just like Mufasa, this fine drop from Anjou was dignified and imposing until the end. Surprised that any sniff of oxidation - and there was near none - was in reality a welcomed influence. Would happily order a case of this medium bodied blend of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon. A mouthful of ripe strawberries and plums, a little perfume, low acid (but enough so it wasn’t flabby), soft tannins with a slightly jammy concentration at the tail. Confident this would be a pleasure to have any day, at any hour, meal or no meal, friends or no friends, in bed, at a table, or on the floor. A beautiful wine beautifully made. Bravo J. C. Cherry, med bodied, slight spice, balanced & complex. J: 9.2, c: 8.8 — 7 years ago
Perfectly elegant C-M, beautiful nose, yet a little wimpy when it came to food - complemented but didn’t really stand up to tuna steak. Perfection for J. — 7 years ago

Nose: Bright dark fruits, cocoa, tobacco, taste: smooth, jammy, tobacco, moderate tannin finish and lingering cherry flavor. J loves a bit more than C, but still very tasty. — 6 years ago
C & J bought in Sylvan Lake, July long weekend 2019. Fantastic taste — 7 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group meet up. This month is new world vs old world Rhône’s. All wines tasted blind. 3 flights.
I called this old world Syrah. Checks off all the boxes for a C-H. This had more meat and acidity than the Pax it was poured alongside. Similar dark red fruit profile. Thanks @Michael Rariden — 7 years ago
Nose: raspberry, mineral, slight alcohol. Taste: light fruit start, moderate tannins build, low/balanced alcohol, chocolate or tropical finish? C: 9.4 J: 8.8 — 8 years ago
