Bolgheri Bianco DOC, 14%. Excellent Vermentino, but with that name you couldn't expect less! Very fruity nose, sapid in the mouth, very pleasant. 84/100 — 12 years ago
Bolgheri DOC 2011, 14% A great expression of Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah, rich in color, elegant nose, really smooth in the mouth. — 13 years ago
We thought this was Sangiovese from outside of a recognized DOC, but I guess it’s CS/CF blend. Lots of red fruit on nose: cherry & strawberry, herbs, pepper, quite dusty early on, really needed time to unwind. Earthy, brambly, kinda gnarly, this really evolved over the night. Med weight, dried herbs and red fruit on the mid-palate w/supple tannins leading to modest finish. Interesting, definitely showing some maturity, but unusual given the varietal composition. — 2 years ago

Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, roasted tomatoes, and tabacco; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of red currants, clay pots, graphite, and eucalyptus with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — a month ago
