At the highly regarded “Somoza” restaurant in Niseko. The food was amazing - this wine overpriced at 47,000 Yen - $470 AUD for a Village wine. Quite a simple wine and a little closed. Was looking for the Chambolle perfume which was not there yet. The palate was uncomplicated and straightforward. Strawberry and raspberry, red currant. Medium minus palate length. Moderate tannins. I was somewhat disappointed with all of the wines of this winery except for this one. I suppose I had high expectations because I had seen and heard some press and buzz around them and the labels seemed to indicate parcel, true to the terroir wines, yet I found reduction, acetic acid and funk or green tannins in the wines. This was the one shinning star for me. I loves me a good #Godello and this was crisp and electric. — 3 years ago
