This is a very nice 13 year old Garnacha from Spain.
Showing black fruits with wood, chocolates, coffee, vanilla, licorice, earth, green vegetables, beef jerky, spices and peppercorn.
Dry on the palate with with medium acidity.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and cherries.
Not very complex on the nose, but very nice on the palate.
100% Garnacha grapes.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

2020 vintage.
85 % Garnacha, 10 % Tempranillo and 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon from young vines 15-25 years old in clay-limestone , stoney loam soil.
100 % stainless steel and fermented separately.
Bright red fruit and liquorice on the nose.
Raspberries, currants, kirsch liquor, violets and a touch of tobacco.
It’s medium bodied with bright acidity and really inexpensive. We had kimchi nabe (Japanese hot pot) ….always a favourite.

Cherry and cranberry, fig. Tannins and vanilla herbs, slight cloves. Really smooth and balanced, not overly fruity. Great with salami. — 7 months ago
A joint venture of Jorge Ordonez, Bodegas Borsao and Chris Ringland, located in the town of Bulbuente (Zaragoza) Spain. Alto Moncayo is the flagship of the winery. A single-grape variety of Garnacha, from vines between 40 and 70 years old, aged in new barrels for 20 months. Bold aromas of fruit and spice. On the palate black fruit flavors, rich and full-bodied, with complex spice. Fine tannins, savory, good structure ending with a smoky character. Very nice! — 2 years ago
Really nice. Not too strong of a flavour but neither too blah. Costco? — 5 months ago
I discovered Borsao a number of years back, when it was my go-to $5 wine. Everyone else adopted it as such, and so its popularity grew, along with its price. Now it’s everyone’s favorite $10 wine. Borsao also makes a wonderful Garnacha called Tres Picos.
This is a very dark wine, and its nose comes through with lush blackberry and plum aromas, draped in a savory earthiness. The palate brings that dark fruit along with a strong sense of minerality. The acidity is racy, while the tannins are firm but not too forceful. I cooked with it, but also enjoyed a glass or two in the process. — 6 months ago

Oak, chocolate, sweet dark fruit (blackberry I guess). And very spicy finish - chilli pepper. — a month ago
