This Argentinian Red Blend from the house of Dave Phinney is always enjoyable. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
This non vintage is probably on the way out now, but still very enjoyable. I kept it for 3 years to see how it evolves, and now I know it's better fresh. It started dying after an hour of airtime.
Good right out of the bottle and good for parties.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of Malbec with some Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Aged for 10 months in oak barrels.

Rojo intenso y profundo. Aromas de chocolates, frutos rojos, ciruelas y pasas que se repiten en paladar. Extraordinariamente sedoso y aterciopelado, corto al paladar pero con resabores perfumados.

Light greenish and flowery bouquet. Tasty mellow fruits with peach notes.
Excelent sparkling wine made of mendoza's torrontes grapes by Dante Robino (Lujan de Cuyo). — 4 days ago
This reminds me of what Rombauer aspires to be. Buttery, oaky, and unabashed in style, yet pulls it in just before it gets all out of whack. Marshmallow cream puff is the one note that stands out on the nose. Additional notes of cotton candy, mint and rich lemon cream come through aromatically and on the palate (with some honeyed tropical fruits). Maybe hold and check in with 2-3yrs more of age? — 13 days ago
Oh wow. This is the real deal. Complex, lifted blue and red fruits on the nose with a subtle vegetal/briney component. More floral with each minute it airs. Doubles down on the palate - powerful wine. Best bottle of Argentine wine I have had in recent memory. Overdelivers. — 9 days ago
This is an interesting bottle of wine. The first thought that came to mind right after I opened this was whoa this has a bad nose. Rather astringent and most notably smelled like hot asphalt. Luckily that went away after being open for a while. Luckily it tasted way better. Currants and sort of a smoky chocolate were highlights. Maybe a hint of raspberry and a muted spice as well. This is in the movie night class of wine for me. Medium body ++ but not quite full bodied. Overall an easy drinking wine that drinks well alone. Perfect movie night drink. — a day ago
