Full bodied and bright — 7 years ago
Cloudy chocolate color with a thick head. Rich creamy mouthfeel. Fig, prune, chocolate and baking spice. Toasted grain on the long finish. Thats a pretty beer! — 9 years ago

Good flavour from the malt — 3 years ago
Caramel, nutty, mildly bread-y.... a little hot with the 7% alcohol that is not as well hidden as other stronger abbey beers I've had, but not to the point of being unpleasant. Poored the whole thing - including lees - so might hold back the bottom next time. — 8 years ago
