Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2021

Medium Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and earthy spice, organically grown fruit. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with tobacco, floral and earthy flowery notes. Full-bodied, well balanced approachable tannins on a medium+ finish. Grab some Italian food and enjoy the great value wine. From organically grown grapes. — 5 months ago

Ombroneta Argilla Toscana Cabernet-Merlot 2021

Casali di Bibbiano Ombroneta Argilla Rosso Toscana IGT 2021, Tuscany, Italy

It is time for some Merlot on this
#MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!

Ruby/ purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Nice nose that feels more like red Bolgheri.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, light earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This young Super Tuscan is already enjoyable, even by itself. Rich and powerful.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Soft and elegant.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Good by itself or with food.

A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in stainless steel vats for 12 months.

14% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$50.
