West Rows Chardonnay is lovely, balanced, silky — 4 months ago
At 35 years I would have thought there’d be more developed tertiary aromas and flavors along with a fully integrated structure. There are indeed some nice gravelly, graphite notes with black olive and black fruits but it’s still rather straightforward, and the structural tannins are still in force. A quite good wine in the end still and well worth the modest investment. Not every well-aged wine can be great. — 6 months ago
Dark red purple. Oaky and dark fruit note. I haven't had a wine as old as 2014 in a while. And maybe I like a younger wine. — 6 months ago
Very nice with fish — 7 months ago
Fantastic blend of buttery smoothness and citrus. Rich and juicy with a nice, oak finish. Full of flavour with a creamy texture. — 3 months ago
Deep color. We’ll balanced. Nice now — 6 months ago
Very smooth. Probably could lay down two more years. — 7 months ago
What a wonderful surprise it is to open up the wine cellar and find a bottle of something I forgot about. this is Benziger Estate 2017 Oonapais !!!! Wow. Stored at 52 degrees, warmed and decanted for 15 min. -I could not wait any longer… as the wine warms slightly to 63 degrees. The bouquet really opens up as this wine warms. Blackberry pie baking in the oven. The Initial palate experience is dark fruit overwhelming the experience. There is blackberry, boysenberry, and slightly ripe black plum. Then comes the earth tones of cedar and cigar box. This is quickly followed by a chocolate and spice on the long semidry finish. Absolutely no sourness absolutely no bitterness just a perfect cab blend. — 8 months ago
